Shayna Kreisler is the Vice President of Lay Leadership Development for the Jewish Federations of North America where she designs and implements the strategy, framework, and experiences that enable the development of a strong and representative volunteer leadership body for the Jewish community. Previously, as the Senior Director for National Young Leadership Cabinet at JFNA, she designed curriculum and experiences that led to increased membership and a larger footprint across the Federation movement. Before joining JFNA, Shayna was the Associate Executive Director at the 14th Street Y in the east village of NYC, where she led the development of innovative approaches to create community and was the architect behind the Y's growth and success for 6 years. Shayna has also worked for BBYO, building community across the globe through teen leadership, taught art in NYC schools, and worked as an art director for top advertising and design studios in Philadelphia and New York. Shayna earned her MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, a master’s in arts education from The Steinhardt School at NYU, and a bachelor’s in fine art from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Shayna lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Alex, their daughter, Anna, and their pup Ralph.
